Shijingshan Amusement Park is a large amusement park with exciting recreational facilities and statues of Disney characters. Even Chinese people living in Beijing plan their day out with family for sightseeing. By this way of family visit, they can enjoy Beijing more with their family. The first stop can be Tiananmen Square or Gate of Heavenly Peace square. This is the world's largest public square and can accommodate 1,000,000 people, so you don't need to elbow the crows. The square is an essential attraction for school kids' field trips of Beijing. If you are interested in the daily flag-raising ceremony at sunrise, you need to prepare for early rising and possible crowded camera-toting tourists. Walking northward from the square, you will enter the renowned Forbidden City. This largest and best-preserved imperial palace was constructed in 1420 by Ming ruler Zhu Di. After this, you may have your lunch at a restaurant restored from a traditional quadrangle courtyard. The houses are built in a geometric set pattern and each courtyard had a well. The houses are interconnected and the entire neighbourhood is known to each other. After a delicious Chinese lunch here, you can hop on a rickshaw or pedicab to ride through the hutongs, the narrow alleys between rows of quadrangle dwellings. There you might come across children playing football or seniors playing Chinese chess by the sides. It is a nice place to get a snapshot of traditional Beijing people’s life.
