China is a proud nation, starting from its people. They are proud of their country, its history and culture and are generally, confident people. They love to talk about themselves and their accomplishments yet they look up to western cultures and see western things as superior. Part of this is shown by the many affluent Chinese decked from head to toe in Louis Vuitton and Chanel. This is a man wearing Ming Dynasty costume. Wearing of ancient costume by some men modelling as Ming era man is a common sight on the tour of the Great Wall. These men are fully dressed in these ancient costumes and are ready to be photographed with the tourists. The costume can be borrowed too for a short while for a price to get photos clicked for memory. Hanfu is the traditional dress worn by religious priests and monks and other important people for ceremonial function. There is also a movement to revive Han Chinese clothing in daily lives of the Chinese people. Each dynasty in China brought with it essential characteristics to Chinese culture. Ming Dynasty costume brought a new perspective to traditional clothing. A lot of clothing influences developed throughout the Ming Dynasty is usually described by historians as magnificent and graceful at the same time. Ming dynasty costume for men , women and soldier were more well refined with finer styles than the earlier ones. China had been under the Mongol rule of the Yuans for many centuries. Ming was the native dynasty under which Chinese culture, traditions, arts and crafts blossomed. Thus Ming dynasty costume holds an important place in the annals of ancient China. At the Great Wall in Mutianyu, this man wearing costume is very popular with the tourists. Though China remained aloof from outside influence behind iron curtain years of the Communist Rule, people of China wear the same costumes as any Westerners. Jeans, trousers, shirt , pants are the everyday dress being worn by people in China, even the interiors. Chinese silk is world famous and most of the robes are made of these silks. but that kind of clothing is hardly in use in everyday life.
